Council of Trustees

The IDEG is governed by a Council of Trustees (Governing Board), which oversees the work of management. The Council provides decisive leadership, sound policy direction and firm oversight for the implementation of IDEG's projects. The Governing Council meets four times in the year. The details of the Governing Council are as follows:

Board Chair - Professor Akilagpa Sawyerr, Former Member of the Council of State and Former Secretary-General, Association of African Universities (AAU), Accra.

Member - Mr. Ato Ampiah, Former CEO, Tema Oil Refinery and Former President of the Ghana Employers Association.

Member - Ms. Phyllis Christian, CEO and Managing Consultant, Shawbell Consulting Limited.

Secretary - Dr. Emmanuel Akwetey, Member-Secretary of IDEGCOT, Executive Director of IDEG.

Ex Officio - Professor Florence Dolphyne, Former Chairperson of the Ghana Education Service Council.
