STAKEHOLDERS DIALOGUE ON COUNTERING POTENTIAL ELECTION INTERFERENCE IN GHANA

Given the evolving landscape of global politics and the concerning erosion of democratic values across the African continent, we believe it is of paramount importance to address the issue of election interference, which has emerged as a significant threat to the sovereignty of democratic nations and the well-being of citizens.

The dialogue aims to provide a platform for insightful discussions on the challenges posed by election interference, both from state and non-state actors. We intend to explore: (1) the tools and mechanisms associated with election interference; and (2) effective strategies and collaborative efforts that can be employed to safeguard the integrity of Ghana’s electoral processes as well as democratic rights of citizens in the forthcoming 2024 general elections.
